Sentinel Error H0031

If you see the following error when starting the program, the dongle requires a patch because it was most likely programmed with an outdated encryption technology (from 2013). Using the instructions below, we will need the dongle’s C2V file in order to prepare the patch.

Procedure

  1. Please download the Remote Update System Tool here: RUS_KTP.exe https://download.ktp-software.de/RUS_KTP.exe
  2. Using the RUS_KTP tool, read the information from your dongle and send it to me as a .c2v file.
  3. Based on the .c2v file, I will generate a dongle-specific update file and provide it to you.
  4. Then open the driver/admin interface in your browser at http://localhost:1947 and navigate to Update/Attach.
  5. Before doing so, make sure the corresponding dongle is connected to the system.
  6. Upload the provided .v2c (Vendor to Customer) file (Select file…) and confirm the patching process (Apply File).
  7. You can verify success in your browser at http://localhost:1947/_int_/features.html: the features for SIGMA, SIGMA m.e., and PAM should be enabled again.
