Screw Design Rules

Manage Screw Design Rules

Under the menu item 'Manage rules', rules for checking the process design can be managed.

The SIGMA user can add new rules to the existing set of rules. To do this, press the '+' button above the list on the left-hand side of the window. Then a name can be defined for the rule and a rule construct can be selected to make it more specific.

In the left-hand list, the user also has the option of activating or deactivating existing rules with a tick. The buttons „Import…“ and „Export“ allow the rules to be shared with other SIGMA users. Afterwards, the user can check his process design with the active rules.

Check Screw Design

Subsequently, it can be checked whether a machine configuration corresponds to the stored rules. To check the machine configuration of a process, the process must be selected. The check is performed via the button Check screw design. The button can be found in the menu ribbon under Simulation. All rules that are marked with a green tick in the „Screw Design Rules…“ window are taken into account.

Afterwards the “Check screw design…” window opens up. The window shows whether the machine configuration of the process meets the individual rules. The font colour of the fulfilled rules is black. If a rule is not fulfilled, its font colour is red.
