Threaded Elements
The input mask for defining and editing conveying and reconveying threaded elements (see figure) encloses all values for the complete definition of closely intermeshing screw profiles. All mentioned values can be identified with help of the draft of two threaded elements in the figure.
Please note the following points by entering the values:
- The Centerline distance is not editable in this input mask. It is predefined in the general machine data.
- The Length and the Lead can be entered in millimeters or as multiple of the Standard value.
- The Volume correction factor is having regard to the deviation of the theoretical closely intermeshing geometry, which is used by SIGMA, and the real geometry.
- Instead of the Volume correction factor newly added Additional Values can be entered. These are the Real diameter of the screw and the Flight angle or the Base angle (the angles are shown in the figure). You can enter either angle. The other one is calculated based on the entered one.
