From SIGMA IX, it is no longer possible to create batch processes. The data structures of batch processes are deprecated. These processes will be completely replaced by the variation module.

There is a way to import old *.batch processes in the SIGMA IX version and to convert them into a variation file:

By selection of “View batch prozess” behind the menu item “Project”, the *.batch file can be opened. By selecting the button “Create variation file” the batch process is transformed into a *.var file. They must be saved in the associated project folder. Afterwards, the new *.var file has to be opened in the Variation module of the existing project.
