The menu items Import process and Export process allow to transport and to save SIGMA processes to storage mediums, e.g. to a disk.

In case of exporting a process all parameters directly connected to it (machine data, configuration, process parameters, material data), are combined to one file and saved after entering name and path of the export file and choosing save. The new suffix of the created file is spx.

To load this export file use the menu item Import process in the project menu. The export file will be imported into the current project.

If a file of the same name as the export file exists in the current project, the file can either be saved or renamed.

The opening dialog (cf. figure) illustrates a chart with the primary file names of the .SPX file and the name that should be saved in the project directory. In case of already existing terms with the same name, these lines need to be marked in „red“ and the user has to confirm explicitly that data is overwritten or renamed. Only then, the import process can be completed.
