The item Project in the menu contains all options for managing projects (directories) and processes (data files). Additionally you find options like Print and Exit under this point.

Right after starting SIGMA there is no project or process loaded. A project is a generic term for various processes to which different simulation terms (screw and barrel configurations, process parameters with their material stages) are saved; therefore a project is a folder where processes can be saved like files.

Important: Each process saved to a project contains its own information of machine data with screw and barrel configuration and process parameters with its material stages.

Path: Main menu > Project > Create project…

The input dialog create project will help the user to create a new project directory. For this the user at first enters the folder, in which he wants to save the project in or he selects it via the browse button (…).

Thereafter the user has to set the projects' name and also has the opportunity to comment on the project.

With the assigned name SIGMA now creates a new subfolder containing the new project in the projects folder. Via the menu item project / the main menu item edit project, SIGMA can load an existing directly.
